About: Our Story
For three guys from Chicago it started on a Thanksgiving weekend when Charley wore a shirt with “MiddleCoast” spread across the front. We asked what he was wearing, and he smiled and said, “The Great Lakes and Mississippi River separate the whole country, making a coast right down the middle.”
We laughed, but the subject didn’t go away. We debated the geography, and as we talked the conversation shifted to MiddleCoast culture. We knew that people from Minneapolis down to New Orleans are different from the [people] in the rest of the country. Only the MiddleCoast balanced charm and kindness with sophistication and style.
We could see that the media didn’t get that. It consistently gives us images from the East or West Coasts, making us think that’s the ideal. Well, that's a load of Bull S--t. So we fired off some the contributions [and things that made us proud to be part] of the MiddleCoast-Cars, Beer, Motorcycles, The Internet, Fast Food, music, to name a few.
By the end of the night it was clear that we needed to find a way to share this idea. We started by telling anyone who would listen, and found that a lot of people felt connected to the MiddleCoast. From there we knew we were on to something bigger.
